Missing posted comments

I’ve encountered an interesting situation with posted comments on a thread I’ve been watching.

From what I can tell, the thread is dropping posted comments.

For example, I posted a comment that politely pointed out some weaknesses in another person’s comments. From what I could see, the comment made it to the thread.

A while later it was gone.

Later in the same day I saw another comment on the same thread pointing out a different set of weaknesses to the same set of comments. When I checked it a few minutes ago, that second comment disappeared.

Is TechRepublic having some sort of problem with the discussion system?

Has anybody else noticed this type of problem?

I’m hoping that it is a hardware or software problem and not a case of censorship AND/OR destructive hacking.
