Monitor has ghost images. :(

by chris nuwanda . Updated 23 years, 2 months ago

I recently purchased a used 21″ Dell P1110 monitor with a Sony Trinitron tube. It’s quite a good performing monitor and suits my needs, EXCEPT it has about 4 progressively lighter copies of images slightly to the right of everything. (especially dark text on white backgrounds)

I’m guessing I just got a monitor that has had more than it’s share of abuse, but am also wondering if maybe there is some sort of setting I can change to try and correct this. I’ve tried degausing and changing all the of the normal settings through the OSD with no luck. I tried adjusting the moire and convergence also. I don’t believe it can be “burn in” because it’s not a set image, it’s anything on screen. (dynamic not static)

Please help.

Chris
