Most Social Programs in the United States should be phased out

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, most Welfare programs, etc., should all be phased out over a period of time that ranges anywhere from five years to fifty years. The federal government should gradually cut its budget by at least fifty percent (and more as it relates to the projected rate of growth), also phased out over a similar period of time.

It’s wrong to take the fruits of another’s labor to pay for these things. It’s also wrong to force people into a never-ending cycle of dependency, which is the only thing ultimately achieved by these programs. It’s also contrary to the intention of the United States government, as intended by the founders, and our nation and its citizens are worse-off as a result, not better.

If you disagree, please explain why.

As the discussion grows, we can explore and discuss the particulars of these issues. (My brevity has purpose.)
