MS Word 2007 Hands when starting

Word 2007 hangs when first opening and never full loads.

When going into the Event Viewer I get this:

“Hanging application WINWORD.EXE, version 12.0.4518.1014, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.”

I have tried deleting the normal.dotm files, I have tried repairing the installation and I have tried a fresh installation. Office is fully updated via Windows Update, but I had the problem before and after the updates were installed.

The client just bought this version of Office 2007 and it has apparently never worked correctly. What is odd is that every other Office application works correct; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, etc, etc.
