MS WORD: Lost hyperlink path

by achang . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

I just completed about 400 hyperlinks in a MS word document. The hyperlinks were linked to pdfs. When I finished the last link, I went back to page one to check they were all good. I got through page 3 (approximately 30 links) and then my computer started slowing down till it finally froze. Luckily I saved right before.

Unfortunately, when I reopened the document and tried to open the links, it doesn’t work. An error window pops up and reads: Hyperlinks can be harmful to your computer and data….

It appears that all my links are confused. Their paths are all wrong.

SO… is there a way to change the paths for ALL 400 hyperlinks so that they are directed to the right folder?

Please help if you can. Thanks!!
