msi deployment prolem

being a new junior admin, i am having a problem getting my head around the installation of msi packages through GPO, i have set up adobe reader 8 to install using GPO and when booting the computer shows that it is “installing managed software”, but i cannot see it on the actual computer.

is there a permissions issue or something which i should be taking into account, or is anyone able to point me to a decent guide?
