New ATT Data Plan Policy

I have a Smart Phone that is not under contract with ATT. I just tried to add the $15 data plan to the rest of my current plan. I have been informed that once I add this feature it can never be deleted from my service. This is a change from the previous $30 Unlimited Data Plan which could be added or deleted at will provided you were not under a 1 or 2 year contract. Buyer Beware. I will be changing my service to another carrier soon, probably Sprint.
