ntldr missing and ghosting images

by delacruzl1 . Updated 24 years, 3 months ago

Hello,
I am a net admin starting out and i copied a w2k server folder with the i386 file within it and tried to install it on my hp with 98. it didn’t go thru the partition “motions”, but seem to install and ask to reboot when it finished. when irebooted, nltdr is missing showed up and now im stuck. i tried to edit the boot.ini file, but is a read only file.
is there anyway to get my 98 back up to what it was so i can back up some stuff and reimage my pc via ghosting?
and with ghosting,i am gonna ghost fr a ibm a22 laptop to a hp desktop. I imagine i should make sure i have the drivers backed up too? before ghosting? is this prudent and is there anything i should do before ghosting? will be ghosting a 98/w2kserv/w2kpro image.
thanks very much!!!!!
Lou
