office 2000 install error 1919

At one time i had office 2000 installed on this machine running W2K professional but this weekend I tried to reinstall and I keep getting the same error message, Error 1919. Error configuring ODBC data source: Visual FoxPro Database; ODBC Error 6: Component not found in the registry. Verify that the file Visual FoxPro Database exists and you can access it.
Microsoft’s Knowledge base article Q292448 suggests importing the regisrty keys from a know good configuration – been there, done that allto no avail. thoughts or ideas??
