onbeforeunload in ie7

I have a web application that uses

window.onbeforeunload = browserLogoff;

function browserlogoff simply closes the users connection to SAP and redirects to a logoff screen.

window.onbeforeunload works properly in ie6. Is anyone having an issue with it in ie7? If so, is there a known work around?
