Outlook 2002 and Outlook 98 pst file

We have purchased Office XP and installed the product on windows me sytem. our existing outlook 98 pst file was copied into respective pst location in outlook 2002(ie windows/applicationdata/microsoft/outlook). now all the created folder in outlook 98 are missing in outlook 2002, the messages that where present in now missing folder are now available in the Inbox of outlook 2002, I am having trouble since it took days for me to sort the message from inbox and put into respective folder which contained 2000 mails.
Now all the folders created under inbox are missing and message inside these folder are now visible in inbox folder.

I also trying to microsoft web support

Please help.
