Outlook 2003 – Bland Messages sent and received come across as 2MB in size

Im using Outlook 2003. When I send a test message to myself it comes across at 2MB in size. Also when I receive a test blank message it comes in as a 2MB. I do have a signature attached, but I have tried it without it and it also comes across as a 2MB. Any help is appreciated.
