Outlook 2003 Inbox views VS. Outlook 2002

In Outlook 2002, you could have different columns displayed for different folders within the Inbox parent folder. However, this seems to have changed in 2003, since whenever I customize the columns for one folder, these changes are erased whenever I navigate to a different folder and then come back.

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn this feature off in 2003 so that the different column views will be preserved and not overridden for each Inbox folder?
