Outlook 2007- Issue with adding pst files on Terminal Server

by sanket.hande . Updated 16 years, 8 months ago

For last few weeks we have encountered this issue on our terminal server: Whenever a user tries adding a pst to Outlook (File—-Data File management—–Add—–Select either of the two options) it generates an error saying “Device J:/ is not ready”. Now as this is a terminal server, we have many restrictions imposed on the machine using group policy. Users have access to only a handful of mapped drives and drive J: is one of them. These drives get mapped (using a logon script) every time the user logs in.

This issue started recently when this terminal server was suddenly shutdown due to UPS failure, before this the pst adding worked without any glitch. To troubleshoot this I have rebooted the server twice, tried repairing office installation but to no use. Any clues, any help solving this will be appreciated!
