Pesky PST files…

by blitzsonik . Updated 20 years, 10 months ago

A little background on my environment first…I support 250 users (each with roaming profiles located in their home directory on the server) in a Win 2k3 AD/Exchange 2k3 environment. We use email EXTENSIVELY in our business and as such our users must keep most of their email for business purposes. Because of space limitations, we have set a limit of 80 MB for each user but as the company grows, the space on the server is slowly diminishing. So we started implementing PST files. All is not perfect but running well enough.

Here in lies my issue: I need the ability to search through change the location of these pst file because they do not roam with the profiles. Besides going into each users’ local settings folder, how can I accomplish this feat. We are relocating to a new facility and I would like to take this opportunity to put a fresh image onto all the machines. I can’t do this unless I find and relocate all the pst files on the network.

Any ideas wouold be much appreciated!

Blitz
