Please show each posting number in the View All display mode, AND ALSO in the emails alerts.
When I respond to an alert I am only shown the message, BUT NOT THE CONTEXT.
To see the context around post no. 234 in 567 messages I have to click “View All” and twiddle my thumbs for a bit.
Eventually there are 567 UN-NUMBERED messages and I cannot easily find what had been post no. 234.
LIFE IS TOO SHORT.
Please include the number of each post in the View All mode.
A daily email alert may show 30 new posts in the same topic. THESE TOO SHOULD BE NUMBERED in the email.
It is an unacceptable pain that 30 times over I must click on a link which takes me to techrepublic and eventually displays the target post, and only then can I see the post number, and then I click view all and wait some more – again and again and again – 30 times over.
Actually my patience is limited – I quickly give up.
I would be happy to click once and select the View All mode and whilst that is being downloaded to go back to more email correspondence, and after that I could return to see what is presented under View All and then find the target post number(S)
