I cannot bear it when I hear people say, “Me and Jill’s boss asked us to go to dinner.” Me and Jill’s???? Seriously, folks. It is proper to say “Jill’s and my boss” or simply “our boss”. The key to figuring out possessive pronouns when grouped with a proper name is to remove the proper name and find what makes grammatical sense. One wouldn’t say, “Mine and Bob’s anniversary” because “Mine anniversary” makes NO sense. It is “Bob’s and my anniversary”, thank you. 🙂
