POST errors on Compaq Despro 4000

I have a Compaq Deskpro 4000 6200 with a 2.5 gb Western Digital Caviar hard drive, model number AC22500.
At POST, I am receiving a 1720 Intellisafe “imminent hard drive failure” error. Upon checking the disk using the Compaq utilities, I am positive that there are no errors on the drive.
I checked Compaq’s site and they offer a hard drive firmware update to correct this problem, but the update is for drive models other than the one I am using.

Has anyone successfully gotten rid of this message using a firmware update or other method on this particular model?
