Post “Trauma”

I was trying to determine why a machine would not enter POST. I removed CPU and memory and placed them in another machine using the same socket, PGA 370. Now this machine will not POST! The Bios for Video card sows on the screen, upon restart I was able to get to the first boot screen but the machine will not allow mw to go into BIOS. Key board has not been recognized and is not functioning.
Is the CPU trashed? Any suggestions will be greatly apprecited.
