I have a compaq presario V2000 and alot about the issues that these have with turning on. But Mine DOES turn on. here are the symptoms.
–when you press the Power button it turns on, the screen flickers(but stays black) then the CPU fan turns on but shuts off after 10 seconds. and two LED’s blink at the same time every 3 seconds, also the cd\DVD drive blinks but keeps blinking, and it sounds like the POST keeps checking the DVD\cd drive, keeps initializing the drive, but get no further than that. I tried removing all harware, HDD,DVD\cd, RAM,CPU, and I get the same symptoms. I tried removing each component one by one turning on the laptop each time and same result…the battery is charged and the power supply does work and it does charge the battery. there are no beeps no sound please help. Thank you.
