Print dialog crashes application

Frequently (but not always), when I try to print a document using File->Print from Word/Excel/PowerPoint, it crashes the application even before the print dialog is shown. However, if I use the print button on the menu bar, the document prints perfectly. Any clues on this strange behavior? I have Office 2003 SP2 and Windows XP SP2.
