Okie,
heres a brain teaser for you all, i have a Deskjet 1280 hooked upto a external JD box, connected to my network, the JD box has been tested and works fine, all the cables have been tested work fine, now i have cleared up the normal “try this, try that” here is the issue, the printer will not print anything that is sent to the printer.
BUT if you enter the printer services, and request an alignment page, it works fine, if you request a JD box config sheet – it works fine, you send anything other than these 2 documents and it will sit there doing nothing..
i have tried changing the printer processor, printer data types, new JD box, New cables, Diffrent driver, recreated the print queue, connected the printer via direct IP to remove the queue from the equasion, did all the above when installed locally on my machine. still nothing..
does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this before i launch it off the roof into the main road..
