Problem loading roaming profile

Hi all,

I am having trouble with user profiles through our WAN setup. Every now and then a user does not seem able to load their cached profile on the local machine, losing all of their settings. This is a real pain as it means the profile needs to be setup again on the local machine.

The real problem is that the profile is recreated locally with a domain extension, for example testuser.domainname – which is proving to be areal hassle with numerous users having numerous profile paths on each machine – and each needs to be reconfigured at bootup!

I have tested connections to Domain Controllers, the designated startup script runs OK (as printers and home directories are working fine), and nothing has changed to the account in AD or locally.

Please help shed some light on this issue!
