Problem of picture placeholder in powerpoint 2003

We have got 2 computers (window xp & office 2003)in our school. When we inserted a picture into one of the computer powerpoint placeholder, it will automatically fit into the placeholder. However on the other computer, the picture would not auto fit into it – it used to work fine. Could anyone be kind enough to help us to fix this problem?
