Problem readding recurring meeting in Outlook 2000

I have a user that has accidently deleted a recurring meeting in outlook 2000, but when he trys to re-add it he gets the error message: “Cannot locate recurrance information for this appointment. data has become corrupted”
Also as a result of this he isn’t recieving any popups for other meeting reminders.
