Problem Viewing Image Files

Hi, having problem to view image files such as jpg, gif or jpeg via MS Outlook (Office XP Pro). Every time when i click on the attached file, it goes to Acrobat Reader then an error message prompted, it says that can’t read the file…. I try to uninstall the Acrobat and then install the Photo Editor, it doesn’t seem to work well. May i know why?
