pst moves

I just exported some personal files from my class personal folder. Outlook is not on the cd burning machine I exported them to. I then burn the exported personel folder files to a cd and try to export from the cd back into my personal folder again.It says,properties for this information service must be defined prior to use.I did notice that it burns as a notepad file not outlook, but when I copy from the cd burn to my personal computer it does show up as outlook pst. Why can I not import this from the cd straight to my class personal folder?
