Recovering Lost Access Database file(s)

A client of mine recently and mysteriously lost her database file(s) that where in an Access format and associated with MS MapPoint…(the program uses the database to show geographical positions on a US map where her agents are located) The map program was saved..and it shows the latest positions…however..when you click on one of the points..it gives an error message…can’t find the database file…
Any ideas?
