Hi was working for an organisation for a number of years it started off well but in the final 2 years of my employment it all went bad. Although I try and say the minimum about the reason I resigned, recruitment agents keep looking for information and I know it looks bad to bad mouth a former employer?
Unfortunately my then employer was breaking employment contract law, Health and Safety law, the wages act not to mention achievement, equity and expectancy theories and completely demotivated me. The problem was I got fed up and resigned as I wasn’t treated fairly and did not pursue my employer through the courts.
It is hard to say something nice about such an employer and I was wondering should I just say what happened instead of just avoiding the question? Or bring a written piece of paper outlining the reason I left so I do not get emotionally involved with this question and answer?
What really annoys me was I changed the results for the company and my then employer tried to give those in his cosy club the credit.
How do you put a positive spin on this situation or should you just be honest?
