I run a 50 person CPA office network with Win2k and XP Pro clients. One of the CPAs in chnage of IT budget/planning wants me to re-image all 50 PCs. I just imaged all PCs over to XP from 98. Some are PCs are old or have cards that won’t talk to Ghost. I did these manually. My questions is…since I imaged all theses PCs in Dec…do they really need to be reimaged “to clean things up”? Also I have a terminal server where all apps and files reside. We use Outlook for Exchange. I created1 image for each PC type…This was 4 months ago…How do I create a new image since there have been updates since the first image. Do I have to image a PC of a certain type. Also if anyone is familar with saving user settings prior to imaging I would like to hear about their expirence. Also is re-imaging this soon really necessary just to clean up the PC? I am trying to plan for a July/Aug time frame for this to be done.
