reporting tool for lost connection

Hello,

I search for a little tool to keep in sight, if network is working correctly.

In an actual case one branch’s connection to the internet is lost. And now it would be great to be informed by a tool which checks this connection.

Do you know such a tool, which sends an e-mail afterwards?
