Restore lost email msgs after IE 5.5

Help!!! I have a Win95 user that upgraded to IE 5.5 only to find all the messages in her Outlook Express folders were gone. Complete panic. I see a lot of email data does exist in Explorer: Windows/Application/Microsoft/Outlook Express folder. But how do I restore this data… assuming it is her messages. Presently no messages appear in her Outlook Express, or Outlook Programs. Much appreciated!!!!!
