Resume – 5 years, 3 positions, 3 companies all in the same chair

Expansion, contraction then sold that’s how it happens as most of you know. My question is – what’s the best way to display, in brief, on the resume? I held the first 2 positions prior to the ‘re-consolidation’ and the 3rd position, which I still maintain, prior to the sale.

So is it. . .
3 company names – single time line
3 sections 1 per company
3 sections 1 per position

Achievments, technologies, duties all break out pretty clearly, I’ve just been tripped up on on this last litte detail.
