Setting up IIS to display ASP (not ASP.NET) pages on localhost server

by jdardard . Updated 15 years, 9 months ago

Hi,
I’ve asked this question before in several forums, but have not received a satisfactory answer. Hopefully, this time will be different.
First, my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, which comes with IIS – which, in turn, must be started with the selected modules. I’ve done that and can open the IIS window with all the modules showing. However, I continue to get a variety of errors when I try to open .asp pages (402.x, 404.x, 500.19). I think I’m doing the suggested procedures to correct those errors, but only to see a new error when I try to run the program on http://localhost again! Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
