Share Pointe Document Library

We have been trying to load documents from a source library into a destination library with Version 3.0 share point. I have created my folders, but when I go drag and drop or copy and paste, the only thing I can paste is the image of the document, or when I go to drag and drop the message that comes up is invalid parameters. I have done some research, could it be columns or views? May I have your help.
