should I stay a tech?

I have been a techie for like 20 years now, went to school for it, have gained a ton of experience and now am in a position where the dept I am temping in wants to keep me and wants me to apply. I am not sure I want to and give up all the years of being in support. Yes money is better but it nearly an even balance on the pros and cons list.

should I stay or go?
