I have never been able to slpstream XP and an SP. Since my main PC is wormy and I am unemployed, I thought I’d figure it out. However, I keep getting an error message that, to my DOS illiterate mind, makes no sense. Can you help?

Step 3: Integrate XP with SP3 Now, type the following in the command line window (where [ENTER] means hit the ENTER key):
cd i386 [ENTER]
cd update [ENTER]
update.exe /integrate:c:\xp [ENTER]
The folders I am referencing are – C:XP and C:i386. I have extracted the SP and this is a retail version of XP.
What I am typing: C:i386\>cd update
C:i386\update>update.exe /integrate:c: \xp
The error I get is: [Failed to copy some or all of the files necessary for an integrated install. Please check that: a) no network or copy errors occurred during the integration process
b) The format of the destination directory is correct. The files to be integrated must reside in an i386 folder and… (ie: far an i386 share, if you typed “update /s:c: \cdshare” the files must be in the c:\cdshare\i386 directory).]
I am dead in the water until I can figure this out so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
