Solaris 9×86 on SunFire V20z hosts file problem?

Hi Guys,

We have existing 5 servers of same setup and hw except the 1st server has 2 Network Interfaces.
The hosts file under /etc/hosts work fine on all servers except for 1st server in which editing or removing hosts file has no effect to name and ip address mapping. We need to add a host entry on this particular server to register the new backup server.
Pls assists.
