Something to automatically remove files from a folder.

Okay this is what I need to accomplish, I have a piece of software that interfaces with another third-party application to provide images to my users. The problem here is that Software company A recently released an upgrade that makes Software Company B’s application not work properly. I have spoken with both companies and been told that a patch will not be released for the next 6-9 months. This is obviously a problem, so what I need is a utility, script, or program that can do the following:

1) Monitor a specific folder for activity it needs to check it every three to four seconds
2) Find all files with the following extensions “.BG” and “.FG”
3) If these files are found they need to be removed.
4) This needs to be running constantly, so possible as a service or as a background application.
5) Needs to run on a Windows 2000 Server

If anyone has any thoughts on how this can be accomplished please let me know.

Sincerely,

LR
