SQL Date range query

I am trying to select a record that was added to a blog 7 days from the current date. I have a drop down list with the date ranges, so i need help with a SQL query that’ll do this for me. Any help will be appreciated my email is chitandaa@yahoo.com ….. i am an amateur so please help!!
