SQL E/MGR lost after XP SP2

SQL Enterprise Manager lost all it’s settings after the upgrade of the workstation to XP SP2.
When you start readding the SQL servers/connection the Enterprise Manager you don’t see the SQL instances.
but if you know the instance name and you type it in it will allow you connection.
Very annoying.
any tweaks on how to make it work
