My power management tools appear to have been “updated” by the Seattle crowd and guess what – they don’t work.
The one thing I loved most about XP was standby…go to bed – enter standby – wake-up hit a key – bingo back in the game… I worked like this for over a year.
Now I have to do a 15 second power off in order to get my sleeping beauty back from the dead and even this I have to follow with a power-on to fully re-start. THANK YOU MICROSOFT.
Before this double re-start cycle – I could hit a key, it would restart – then it would go straight to Hibernate. I would have to let this cycle and then re-start. But now I have to wake the dead.
From hit a key with 15-20 seconds of start-up, to now with several minutes of nonsense to wake the machine.
Very pissed.
