Student needs advice, is finance &data mining good combination of majors?

Hi there,

I am currently pursuing my double degree in science IT and business. I am planning to major in finance and computing&data analytics, (data mining!).

Would this particular combination of majors be a good idea if I want to work as a financial data analyst and other positions?

I have heard that data mining is an area in growth.

How does the future look for data mining?
