svchost problems

I’m using XP on 2003Server. I keep running into a problem with svchost running around 98 to 99%. It total locks up the computer. The only way to continue is to reboot. I’ve even (end tasked) it, however, the next day I run into the same problem. I’ve tried everything I can come up with. Any help would be great.
