Svchost.exe Problem persists

Some computers in our Lab keeps on giving this message after bootup. There is no strange programs loaded on the Pc’s Just the normal Microsoft stuff.

From Microsoft site svchost is a service running at start-up
“Svchost.exe is a generic host process name for services that are run from dynamic-link libraries (DLLs). The Svchost.exe file is located in the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder”

I suspect a virus but cannot pinpoint this problem. Maby there is a Fix tool??

Microsoft says the latest service pack must be running and that they first fixed it with servic pack 3. I am currently running this service pack.

Is there any sugestions for me to correct this problem?
I am running WIN2000 Prof.
