Symantec Ghost Image Change Log

I have become the image builder for my company. I have installed and configured Win XP many times, but with this new role, I would like to be able to track the installation from beginning to end, then for every version, note the changes.

The question is, rather than me having to write one from the start, does anyone have a template that would expedite the process? Or is there a process that someone has found useful for this task?
