Saddam is still at large (Of course so is Bin Laden) and still no WMD’s. Dang I wish the CIA wouldn’t train these sorts as well. Hopefully the US will now stop providing military assistance and training to dangerous people when it is in our short term interest.
Now we’ve got our soldiers dying more than ever in the war proper, other countries sending morter shells into our embassies and a National Intelligence report that essentially cites that during the time our President was drumming up support for the war by saying that there was an Iraqi threat the whole U.S. intelligence community found that this was “unlikely.”
Perhaps that is why he is losing popularity as a leader at such a fast rate? Or is it more because we still all havefriends and relatives without work or income right now and we are all focusing on our own economic problems now that the war is over? Remember, no matter how bad things are at home, it’s better than being in a hostile country.
We all need to be contacting any servicemen or servicewomen we know from our families and communities and letting them know they ARE supported by us. I have been, but am going to ramp it up a bit.
I don’t really mean this as a “Question” although I put some in… it’s more rhetorical or to generate discussion, and even more importantly- some action.
