Time to require a validation / confirmation code to post?

How about it, people? What’s more aggravating to you, keying in a random-letter ‘word’ to post, or wading through the zombies unearthed by autospammers? I’m sick of the canned pork byproducts and am willing to put up with extra keystrokes to reduce it, but I’d like to hear what others think.

For me, the best of both worlds would be to require a code for a new member’s first five or ten posts, then drop the requirement he / she has demonstrated there’s an actual person involved.
