Toshiba A-30

My A-30 Satellite stopped working and giving me messages about ntoskrnl.exe being corrupt.

I have run the Toshiba Product Recovery CD-ROM and when I then try to boot I get “A disk read error occurred. Press CTL+ALT+DEL to restart” and the machine goes in a loop.

When I then instruct the machine to boot from the CD-ROM/DVD Drive and insert a Windows XP Home edition disk it will run Windows Set Up and eventually give me a message:

“The file ql1240.sys is corrupted. Press any key to continue.”

followed by “Set Up Failed. Press any key to restart your computer.”

How can I resolve this?
