Trying to ghost this machine…

Here is the deal.

I am new to norton ghost. I have worked up a machine and configed the machine the way I want all my new machines to start out. I run disk to disk clone and it clones my pc to another pc and all is well.. or is it?

When I created the “idea” config I put the shortcuts to msoffice in all users. When I clone the PC join the domain and actually make a user on the cloned PC none of the desktop shortcuts for msoffice work.

Is there a better way to do this perhaps by local gpo or something.. Does anyone have any resources for me to go check out and learn about bugs when ghosting machines?
